All purchases are understood to have been supplied on a commercial basis.

Terms & Conditions

All orders are subject to Craven Cooling Sales Ltd – Trading as  FridgeSmart terms and conditions of sale. These terms and conditions must be interpreted within the context of Craven Cooling Sales Ltd

Our contracts of sale shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. Any actions or proceedings arising of this contract shall be solely to the jurisdiction of the courts of England.

 

Craven Cooling Sales Ltd takes no responsibility for orders made online & in error.  The customer must check they have ordered the correct unit for use with its intended purpose. Whilst we will endeavour to help with incorrect orders as much as possible, Orders may only be returned if the manufacturer agrees to do so, the customer will incur restocking & carriage fees if the item has left our warehouse. 

Pro-Forma Invoices & BACs payments

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all Pro Forma invoices contain the correct information. The customer must check the product & address etc and inform us within 24 hours if an error has been made.  Failure to check your Pro Forma will incur restocking & carriage fees. Failure to check may cause items or services to be omissed.  Craven Cooling Sales Ltd will not be held liable for failure to check your Pro Forma. 

Purchase Orders & Cash on delivery

Orders can be fulfilled if they have been paid for in advance, either through our online payment system or via bank transfer. we do not offer cash on delivery or partial payments etc.

Purchase Orders are not accepted. We will provide Pro Forma invoices, but it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the details of the Pro Forma are correct, including item, Price etc . See our terms above

 

Pricing & Payment Terms

All prices will be charged at the advertised price current as per the order date. All discounts and refunds shall be at the discretion of the Directors and their decision will be final. In addition VAT will be charged at the ruling rate. Craven Cooling Sales Ltd accepts as payment – debit cards- credit cards (charges may apply for credit cards). All prices are correct at the time of publishing. Craven Cooling Sales Ltd reserve the right to amend pricing.  and all pricing shall be confirmed at the time of order. Any amendments to pricing will be confirmed for you prior to dispatch. Errors and omissions excepted. E&OE

 

Warranty

Parts warranty where applicable is provided for UK mainland, N. Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Offshore Islands. Labour warranty where applicable can only be offered for UK mainland, N. Ireland, Republic of Ireland. Any product exported outside of the UK is EX WORKS and excludes any warranty (except Republic of Ireland).

Craven Cooling Sales Ltd does not cover the cost of returning faulty or damaged parts or units from outside mainland UK. 

Craven Cooling Sales Ltddoes not cover the cost of shipping new parts or units outside mainland UK. 

2 Year Parts Warranty


Fridgesmart commercial refrigeration products are sold with 2 years parts warranty as standard. In general terms, all electromechanical parts are covered against defects and will be replaced like for like or with a component which is compatible with the product.

Exceptions
Unless confirmed as being damaged within 24 hours from initial delivery, all cosmetic items and fabricated items are specifically not covered by the warranty. 

Shelves / baskets, trays and pans are specifically not covered by warranty. 
Light bulbs, tubes and gaskets and trims are deemed consumable and not covered by warranty. 
Other consumable items and breakables are not covered by warranty. 
Stock loss due to unit failure, or claims for consequential losses are excluded from warranty. 

Important notes
Warranty is invalidated if non approved parts are fitted unless specified by Fridgesmart.

Warranties are not transferrable.

Use of equipment other than for its designated purposes invalidates the warranty. 

Fridgesmart reserves the right to request engineer’s diagnosis reports before supplying parts if applicable.  All engineers reports must be done by qualified refrigeration engineers on headed paper etc

The serial number and/or order number of the unit at fault must be supplied for a warranty to be implemented. 

We reserve the right to collect faulty parts for assessment if applicable. 

 

Labour warranty (1 year option)
Should Labour warranty be purchased, An engineer will attend site free of charge and repair items that have failed within warranty, subject to exclusions listed in ‘Exceptions’ and ‘Important notes’ or the section headed  ‘2 Year Parts Warranty’. The following list details parts and faults which are not considered part of any Service Contract and will be invoiced on a chargeable basis. 

Labour warranty exceptions. 
No fault found; general misuse, abuse and site issues and cabinet location; general cleaning and maintenance; damage caused by movement within premises or relocation; blocked drains; defective power source or use of extension sockets; incorrect power source; following repair by an unauthorised party; general refurbishment. 

Regular maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer’s specification must be adhered to. 

 

All refrigeration is supplied with two years parts warranty unless otherwise stated. Customers must employ the warranty arrangements provided. Each warranty is specific to the product purchased.

Engineers Visits 

If a customer reports a fault with a unit and an engineer is dispatched to fix the unit, Craven Cooling Sales Ltd along with the manufacturer will cover such costs. If an engineer discovers that the unit is not working properly due to the customer not following manufacturers recommendations or settings, then the customer will be liable for all costs relating to the engineers visit.  This applies to all warranties including warranties covered by Parts & Labour. Before an engineer is dispatched you may be asked for your credit card information. If you fail to supply your credit card information an engineer will not be sent. 

The manufacturer requires photos of damage or ill fitting parts prior to dispatching an engineer. If you cannot provide photos an engineer will not be dispatched. Photos from any standard mobile are acceptable.

It is the customer’s responsibility to verify specifications and the suitability of items prior to ordering the goods. Craven Cooling Sales Ltd cannot guarantee the suitability of goods for specific purposes.

 

Goods must be used solely in accordance with the recommendations stated in the manufacturer’s handbook/manual. Failure to do so will impair the warranty.

Warranty becomes invalid if the unit is placed inside an area with insufficient air flow, such as a small room, cabinet etc

Warranty becomes invalid if the unit is placed in an area with a high ambient temperature.. such as next to a radiator or boiler.. or within a hot kitchen. 

Warranty becomes invalid if the electrical supply adequate for the unit. ie the current is not clean, The circuit is overloaded, or the wiring is old and ill maintained. 

Warranty becomes invalid if non-approved parts are fitted

Warranty is not transferable and lies with the original purchaser

Use of equipment other than for its designed purpose will invalidate the warranty

All claims are to be submitted with complete service engineers documentation

 

Engineers must be able to access the premises where the faulty unit is located.

Engineers will only attend locations during business hours of 9am to 5pm, from Monday to Friday. Out of hours charges will be chargeable with a minimum of 4 hours. This applies to all warranties including parts and labour warranties.

 

Returns

The customer must inspect & test goods immediately upon arrival. Any claim for failure of goods to be in accordance with the contracted order then the customer must inform Craven Cooling Sales Ltd via email within 24 hours of receipt of such goods.

Goods are not sold on a trial basis.

Goods can only be returned if-

There is a prior authorisation from Craven Cooling Sales Ltd in writing
You are issued with an authorisation code from Craven Cooling Sales Ltd
All items are correctly packaged in the original packaging
Original manuals and documentation are enclosed

       ­-       The good have not been used

A restocking fee equal to 50% will be charged on all returned goods plus carriage
The purchaser is responsible for any returns charges.

Cancellations

Cancelled orders will incur an administrative processing fee of 4%. If the order has been dispatched to one of our depots, the customer will also incur restocking at 50% and carriage fees. 

Delivery

Craven Cooling Sales Ltd cannot guarantee delivery times/dates. Estimated times of arrival are given purely as an approximate indication when goods might be delivered subject to other conditions.

Deliveries are made on 18 wheeled Artic lorries the size of a double decker bus.  

We must be informed immediately if the lorries cannot fit down any road along the route to your delivery
We must also be informed immediately if there any low bridges or roadworks on the route

All refrigeration prices include delivery to your door.  Customers located in remote locations, the highlands or islands may be subject to delivery charges. Due to the complexity of the charges, we are unable to include within the site all price permutations. You will be billed separately for delivery.

Delivery is to your door only but not unpacking and positioning unless you purchased that option. You must check door entry sizes with all cabinets. If the unit does not fit any carriage charges caused by an aborted delivery will be the customers responsibility. A restocking fee of 50% will also be applied. Craven Cooling Sales Ltd will not accept responsibility if the unit or cabinet will not fit.

It is the customer's responsibility to provided the correct delivery address and postcode.  If the delivery address or postcode is incorrect the customer will be charged delivery costs and a restocking fee of 50%.

The customer must provide clear access to their premises. Parking restrictions and or any denial of access will result in aborted delivery charges. Restocking fees of 50% may also apply.

Should a delivery have to be aborted because the business is closed or no one is there to meet them, then you will be charged again for carriage. If the item has to be restocked then you will incur a restocking fee of 50%.

There are occasions when deliveries can run late ie Traffic Jams, accidents road works etc. We will always endeavour to keep you posted of any problems that may crop up. However Craven Cooling Sales Ltd is not liable for any loss or damage caused to your business due to these unforeseen circumstances.

Should you be shipped an incorrect or faulty item, Craven Cooling Sales Ltd will not accept liability for loss of business and damages caused by the error.

If an item should arrive damaged Fridgesmart must be given the opportunity to ascertain the damage & repair the fault.

The customer must inspect their delivery and inform us within 24 hours of any damages or omission of items. Failure to do so may result in missing parts being billed to you.

The customer must inform us immediately if they are missing manuals or cleaning instructions for their unit.  Turning on or using your equipment without following the manufacturers guidelines will result in you being charged for any engineers visit. 

In certain delivery circumstances you may be required to show identification. Our drivers may also photograph you and the identification provided. Failure to agree to this may result in an aborted delivery and you will be charged accordingly.

 

Refrigeration

All refrigeration sold by Craven Cooling Sales Ltd is designed to work in a max ambient temperature of 25 degrees centigrade. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a suitable and safe electricity supply for any units supplied by Craven Cooling Sales Ltd. We recommend that advice is taken from a qualified electrical engineer.

Warranty becomes invalid if non-approved parts are fitted

Use of equipment other than for its designed purpose will invalidate the warranty

All claims are to be submitted with complete service engineers documentation

We do not sell or ship items outside the United Kingdom

Craven Cooling Sales Ltd does not accept liability for loss of stock 

 

Sales

All sales are at the discretion of the Directors Craven Cooling Sales Ltd – Trading as : ShopSmart / FridgeSmart

Special Orders / Made to order units

Special orders / Made to order unit; once ordered become irrevocable. We will hold units for a maximum period of 4 weeks, after which we will deliver to the premises of your choosing. At no time can you cancel the order once we have placed the order with the suppliers

If, on our receipt of the goods, you decide to either delay or postpone receipt of the goods beyond the 4 week period, or refuse to advise delivery address, we reserve the right to charge 50% of the net value of the ordered goods to your account. The product will automatically be made available for general sale.

Communications

Phone calls may be recorded for business and training purposes.

Price Promise terms and conditions

We guarantee to beat only on like for like products. All prices must be quoted in writing. Prices must come from registered dealers.

Our products are brand new not B grade products, we will therefore not price match against B-Grade products or second-hand products.

Errors or ommissions may occur due to third party data failure, site updates or maintenance issues. Fridgesmart will attempt to accommodate such errors but will not be liable.

 

Eu legislation comes into effect at the end of 2018 which requires all refrigeration to use new environmentally friendly gasses. During the transistion period Products on our site may display out of date photographs and specifications. We will always endeavour to keep our products up to date, however you may receive an updated model, slightly different to the one listed. You will not be charged for this.  Craven Cooling Sales Ltd reserve the right to alter specifications and photos at any time.
