Fees

Fridgesmart  will charge a delivery fee for small items including spares & accessories. Fridgesmart kerbside deliveries are free for commercial refrigeration to mainland UK addresses with a few postcode exclusions.

Delivery Times

Standard kerbside delivery is between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday,  usually within 2-3 working days. For some larger items or certain post codes this could be up to 3-5 working days.

For special order items these usually have an estimated lead time of 10-12 weeks – please check prior to ordering with one of our team 01792 677169.

Next day delivery is now available on many small and medium items, Orders must be placed and full payment cleared before 2 PM in order for next-day delivery. The product and shipping postcode will determine this. Orders placed over the weekend or on bank holidays are not eligible for next-day delivery. Every next-day delivery, excluding Saturday and Sunday, is subject to stock levels. For further information, get in touch with customer service.

Please get in touch with us if you require a certain delivery type, such as timed, am/pm, one-hour time slot, out of hours delivery, small vehicle, or any other delivery requirement. We have access to a variety of special delivery services and can accommodate many delivery requests.

Delivery Access

An 18-ton vehicle, about the size of a double-decker bus, is used for standard deliveries. A smaller vehicle can be arranged with advance notice, but there will be an extra fee. 

Any problems with vehicle access must be mentioned at the time of purchase. This covers things like parking restrictions, pedestrian-only areas, small roadways, and potential obstacles like low bridges. Additional fees will apply if a delivery attempt is unsuccessful because of inaccessibility. Please give one of our advisors a call for further information.

Unless a “Unpack and Position” or other service has been requested, which comes at an extra fee, all deliveries are made to KERBSIDE ONLY at the closest access point. Clear, flat level access is necessary for this service; otherwise, kerbside delivery will be the only option. If there are any steps or restrictions please contact us prior to selecting unpack & positioning.

Delivery services

Additional services such as removal and disposal or unpack and position options are not available with next day deliveries. These services will be scheduled for a later date.

Unpack & position and removal options are only available for commercial properties. These services are NOT available for domestic addresses. Deliveries are carried out by a third party courier company arranged by the manufacturer however we remain your main point of contact.

General delivery information

As soon as your order is complete, we will email you any shipping details.
Before accepting and signing a receipt, you should be given the chance to inspect your order when it is delivered, please sign for your order as “unchecked” if you are unable to inspect it.

Please report any damages within 24 hours, include information and photographs.
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the unit or units will fit, please measure all points of access to the property. If any units must be returned due to access restrictions or miss measurements there will be a restocking fee.

Failed delivery

Please be aware that should delivery fail due to but not limited to any of the following: vehicle inaccessibility to the premises, none attendance of customer on site, failure to sign for goods, failure to answer phone calls regarding delivery etc. inability to get equipment into the building, then a restocking charge (typically a minimum of 25%) and/or a redelivery charge will be applicable.

Northern and Southern Ireland

Please contact prior to ordering, most items can be arranged for delivery. Deliveries are kerbside only Monday to Friday between 8am-6pm.
(Offshore Islands are not included).

Offshore deliveries

We can only deliver to UK-based freight forwarding companies for off-shore shipment from the UK mainland. Since we follow HMRC’s guidelines, all VAT on shipments from outside the UK must be paid before they are delivered. The entire amount of VAT paid will be reimbursed after delivery is finished and we have proof of shipment.
